Comments:

These systems come with a standard density (SD) memory board, the "MC-2" which accepts only the 8MB kits. This board can be expanded to 64MB.

To expand beyond 64MB, install SGI's 32MB high density (HD) memory board, the "MC-3" (H4-D32XB). This board will accept the 32MB kits and can be expanded to 256MB.

If you know from the outset that you are going to expand beyond 64MB, you may want to immediately replace the standard board with the high density board. You can reach the maximum 256MB on this board with seven kits of KSG32000.
