Comments:

The PowerMate 386/25 is presently equipped with either a 2MB or an 8MB standard memory card, either of which accepts an additional 2MB or 8MB module.

Older models came with a 2MB standard memory card. For systems shipped with the CPU revision B5A, this 2MB standard memory card can accept either the 2MB or the 8MB module. Prior to revision B5A, however, NEC's 2MB standard memory card is incompatible with an 8MB module. Kingston highly recommends that owners of such models start with our 8MB replacement base memory board (KTN8000/25). This standard card supports both modules.
