On the revision 1 board, newer systems come standard with 1MB installed in the first 4 sockets, and older machines came with 512KB in the first two sockets or with 640KB (in the first four sockets). If your system came with 640KB, you must remove the two 64KB modules from the second bank before expanding the system board.
